White Paper 2019 Launched at the CSR Europe SDG Summit
The third edition of the CSR Europe White Paper was officially launched during the SDG Summit in Brussels under the motto “From Urgency to Action”. Among the participants in this important international event was the Executive Director of Kosovo CSR Network, Linda Tahiri.
Despite growing awareness and progress over the past years, significant obstacles remain in achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. In its 2019 White Paper, CSR Europe, in cooperation with Globescan, draws on recent publications and research to provide a comprehensive overview of the challenges ahead, as well as progress made and concrete actions required.
The White Paper focuses on CSR Europe’s three priority areas: People, Materials, and Markets. It highlights the need for stronger multi-stakeholder partnerships, collaborative platforms, and increased CEO engagement in order to accelerate progress toward the SDGs.
While improvements have been noted in the past two years, society remains far from fully meeting the Sustainable Development Goals. The report emphasizes that collective leadership and cooperation across sectors are essential to move from urgency to meaningful action.
