Prishtina International Airport Adem Jashari, as a member of Kosovo CSR Network, continues to set the standard for what responsible business leadership looks like in Kosovo.
• Sustainability at the core
LKIA is the first and only airport in Kosovo to achieve Level 3+ “Neutrality” under the Airport Carbon Accreditation programme. This milestone demonstrates its continued commitment to environmental responsibility and meaningful contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, including Clean Energy (SDG7), Responsible Consumption (SDG12), and Climate Action (SDG13).
From raising awareness on plastic reduction on World Environment Day to tree planting initiatives and student-created gardens for Earth Day, LKIA leads by example in environmental care and community engagement.
• Empowering girls in STEM
Through the Global Engineer Girls Kosovo initiative, LKIA invests in the education and empowerment of young women. By providing scholarships, mentorship, internships, and employment opportunities in STEM fields, they are contributing to a more inclusive and skilled workforce in Kosovo.

LKIA has recorded some of the highest growth rates in Europe this year, while remaining focused on sustainability and innovation. Investments in biometric screening, self check-in systems, and terminal infrastructure expansion demonstrate that responsible growth can go hand in hand with customer service excellence and environmental care.
