Meet Our Member – American School of Kosova
American School of Kosova (ASK), founded in 2003, is the first private school and the only American school in Kosovo. Guided by its mission “Together, educating tomorrow’s leaders for a better future”, ASK has played a significant role in shaping the educational landscape of the country.
The school has been ranked above the global average by AdvancED, one of the world’s largest accreditation agencies, positioning ASK among leading schools in Europe. ASK is strongly committed to preparing its students for admission to prestigious universities worldwide. Graduates have been accepted with full scholarships at institutions such as Harvard University, Yale University, University of Pennsylvania, Oxford University, Hult University, and University of Maastricht.
The newly built ASK campus has been recognized internationally as an innovative educational facility. Renowned architecture platforms such as Archdaily and Archinect have featured the campus, highlighting its unique and contemporary design.
In terms of future plans, ASK remains dedicated to continuously improving the quality of education by adopting international academic programs and providing ongoing professional development for its teaching staff.
Corporate Social Responsibility is integrated into the school’s overall strategy. Through student clubs and extracurricular activities, ASK actively promotes environmental protection, community engagement, and social inclusion. Recent initiatives include Earth Day activities, where students organized campus clean-up actions and planted trees.
The school also provides scholarships to students across Kosovo, with annual scholarship support reaching approximately 50,000 euros. A key priority for ASK is maintaining a warm, safe, and inspiring learning environment for students and staff, supported by transparent communication, established safety procedures, and regular training.
As a member of Kosovo CSR Network, ASK actively supports the Network’s initiatives. In cooperation with Down Syndrome Kosova, ASK has for several years enabled children from DSK to complete their practical work within the school environment.
