Kosovo Strengthens Regional Leadership for Family-Friendly Workplaces
As part of the regional program “Expanding Choices: Gender-Sensitive Family Policies for the Private Sector in the Western Balkans,” delegations from across the region gathered in Sarajevo to exchange experiences and best practices on promoting family-friendly workplaces and advancing gender equality in the private sector.
UNFPA in Kosovo, in collaboration with Kosovo CSR Network, led a strong private sector delegation, including BKT Kosovo, Meridian Corporation & Meridian Express, and KIVO Kosovo, reaffirming Kosovo’s leadership role in fostering inclusive and supportive work cultures.
The visit, organized by UNFPA Bosnia and Herzegovina and UNFPA Eastern Europe & Central Asia, included participation in the Leadership & Talent DRIVE Conference 2025, where Meridian Corporation shared success stories and lessons learned from implementing family-friendly policies in Kosovo. Additionally, a visit to IMACO Systemtechnik in Bosnia and Herzegovina allowed participants to gain insights from regional colleagues and explore successful business models that prioritize employee well-being.
Kosovo’s engagement once again demonstrated the private sector’s commitment to building equal and sustainable workplaces, further strengthened through collaboration among businesses and development partners.
The UNFPA “Expanding Choices” program is funded by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), with Kosovo CSR Network serving as an implementing partner in Kosovo. Together, we continue to promote the adoption of family-friendly workplace practices across the Western Balkans and Moldova.
