Kosovo CSR Network participated in the 2024 Regional Philanthropy Forum, which aimed to create opportunities and partnerships to promote sustainable development. The Network contributed to the agenda and discussions, highlighting the role of CSR in advancing philanthropic practices.

During the panel discussion “How Can Philanthropy Address Development Issues in the Balkans,” Director Zana Bajrami Rama shared Kosovo’s experience and stated:

“It is essential to identify the root causes of the issues that need to be addressed, then develop long-term plans to tackle these causes. This ensures a transition from sporadic donations to support that provides strategic solutions to core problems. In my view, there is a need to strengthen dialogue and collaboration between the state, civil society, and businesses to define priorities and make more effective use of resources to achieve development goals.”

The forum featured broad participation from philanthropists, businesses, institutions, civil society organizations, and influential actors in philanthropy from Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Croatia.

The forum was organized under the USAID North Macedonia project “Partnerships for Donation,” implemented by Konekt, in collaboration with the European Center for Not-for-Profit Law, the Chamber of Commerce of North-West Macedonia, Indigo, and the American Chamber of Commerce in North Macedonia.
