Framework for Support in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and CSR
The UN Development Coordinator in Kosovo, Ulrika Richardson, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Linda Tahiri, Executive Director of Kosovo CSR Network, establishing a framework for cooperation in supporting Corporate Social Responsibility activities and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Kosovo.
This Memorandum formalizes the collaboration between the UN Kosovo Team (UNKT) and Kosovo CSR Network, which represents responsible businesses operating in Kosovo. The cooperation focuses on areas of common interest including human rights, labor rights, environmental protection, anti-corruption efforts, and broader social development issues.
The agreement recognizes that responsible business conduct goes beyond compliance with laws and regulations. It emphasizes the importance of voluntary engagement by companies to address societal challenges and to align corporate strategies with principles of social responsibility and the UN Development Agenda.
Through this partnership, both parties commit to closer collaboration toward a shared objective of promoting sustainable development in Kosovo. The cooperation is expected to contribute to strengthening job security, advancing gender equality, protecting the environment, and supporting progress toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
